USD $125 USD

A private taxi will pick you up from your hotel in Otavalo and transfer you to San Pablo Lake, where your kayaking experience begins.
Upon arrival, you will learn about the traditional use of the totora plant, widely found around the lake and used by local communities to craft artisanal boats. Your guide will then provide a safety briefing and ensure you are properly equipped before heading out onto the water.
No prior kayaking experience is required. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced paddler, the activity will be adapted to your comfort level and interests. As you glide across the calm waters, you may spot local bird species such as cormorants, Andean gulls, and sandpipers, while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding Andean landscapes.
After paddling, return to the pier to relax and enjoy a delicious snack with stunning views of the Imbabura volcano. Finally, a private taxi will transfer you back to your hotel in Otavalo.
Please Note:
If you prefer, you may arrive directly at the pier on your own (we will provide you with the exact location). In this case, the cost of the activity is USD 110 per person.
We can also arrange departures from Quito, allowing you to travel directly to the activity and return the same day. This option is available for an additional cost.
