Affordable Galapagos 8 Days Tour

This is the arrival day for all of our tour participants and depending of your flight arrival times you can have a day exploring the Economical Ecuador Capital and its wonderful downtown, the Iguanas Park, Malecon 2000 and Las Peñas Hill, or simply rest at the Hotel before our Tour Guide meet you at the Lobby at 6:30 pm for our Orientation meeting and briefing before the starting of the tour.

During this meeting you can clarify everything as you might be concerned or curious to know about the tour overall.

We can still assist you arranging a full day in Guayaquil or surroundings if you let us know in advance.

THIS PROGRAM WE ALSO OPERATE FROM QUITO IF NEED IT.

Hotel Accomodation (Grand Hotel or Ibis ***)

Today is your departing day to the Galapagos Islands, you will fly to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (San Cristobal Island), it will take 1 hour and half approx. Then, one of our representatives will meet you at the Airport to take you to the hotel for check in. (Flight not included in cost)

After you will have chance to have something to eat in town near by the hotel on your own.

KAYAK TOUR TO DARWIN BAY 

In the afternoon the tour Guide will meet you at the lobby to take you back to the pier , get equipped with the kayak and snorkel gear. Then you will start a fantastic guided tour towards to Tijeretas hill and Darwin Bay surrounded by frigate birds, blue footed boobies and sea lions. This activity is safe and good for all ages unless you have any mobility issues. Upon arrival to Darwin Bay, you will snorkel to see colorful fish and the famous green pacific turtles.

Finally kayak back to the pier (this activity normally takes 3 hours and half)

HIKE TO TIJERETAS HILL & DARWIN BAY

In the afternoon the tour Guide will meet you at the lobby to take you to visit the most beautiful hill nearby town well known as Tijeretas Hill (nickname given by the frigate birds shape as scissors).

You will hike up to the hill, then you will stop by the self-guided Interpretation Center to know more about the Capital of the Galapagos.

Then, you will do snorkel at Darwin’s Bay, and finally return back to the hotel for overnight.

Hotel Accomodation (Arena Blanca Hotel ***)

Today includes some of the best snorkeling in Galapagos, a day trip to Kicker Rock! 

After breakfast, a comfortable speed boat navigates along the coast of San Cristobal, boasting views of the birds and landscape from a different angle. At the rock formation, we’ll snorkel through the channel in search of a variety of sharks, fish, turtles, rays, sea lions, and more! Enjoy a box lunch on the boat afterward, and some quiet beach time to relax before returning to town.

Hotel Accomodation (Zayapa Hotel ***)

Today you will take a speed boat towards Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island (it will take 2 hours approx.) Then, you will get to the hotel for check in.

You will have some time to enjoy the town and have a quick lunch before the next activity. Later in the afternoon you will go to visit a Tortoise Ranch in the highlands of Santa Cruz, where you will see a very big land wild tortoises in natural state.

Finally, you will return back to town for overnight.

Tonight Advise: Don't miss eating at the QUIOSKOS street a very fresh lobster and many different tipe of sea food caught in the morning.

Also go at night to the Pier, where you can see babbie sharks, rays and many other animals very close.

Hotel Accomodation (Deja Vú Hotel *** )

On this day you will take a speed boat towards to Isabela Island, upon your arrival check in to the hotel some resting time (if not you can rent a bike for usd 10 to visit the Galapagos Breeding Center or the Wetlands).

Then, we will take you to another fantastic tour well known as TINTORERAS ISLET. 

At this tour, you will visit a next door islet full of babbie marine iguanas, sea gulls, sea lions, blue footted bobbies, frigatte birds and some Galapagos Penguins. Also depending of the sea tide you will be able to see the TINTORERAS or the White Tip Reef Shark, who rest during day time at the Islet canals.

Then, you will go for a magic snorkel at La Calera area, where you will swim together with marine iguanas, sea turttles, sea lions and a great number of colorful fish.

Finally, you will return back to hotel.

Hotel Accomodation (Cally Hotel ***)

SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO TOUR  (ACTIVE HIKE)

Today is an early bus ride for 30 minutes towards to the entrance of Volcan Sierra Negra, then hike up to the Volcano Caldera (1 hour and half each way, it could also be more depending of your health, condition). Along the way you can observe some plants and bird’s endemic from the Galapagos Islands then if the weather allows, you will have great Volcano Views. This volcano erupted on July 2018, so you will see the reminds of the last eruption very close.

Finally, you will hike back to the park control with the group, to take another 30 minutes bus back to town for packing and in the afternoon speed boat to Santa Cruz Island.

This Tour Activity is ACTIVE , so if you are not able to hike for 4 hours , we suggest you this other options as follows:

WETLANDS TOUR AND TORTOISE BREEDING CENTER (EASY HIKE)

After breakfast our guide will take you visit the Giant Tortoise Station, then enjoy a flat hike towards to the wetlands to see the Galapagos pink flamingos and a lot of marine Iguanas. This hike is more a comfortable sightseeing than demanding hike , so we strongly recommend you to choose this other option if you prefer more sightseeing than long hikes.

Hotel Accomodation (Deja Vú Hotel ***)

This tour will start early from town, then a bus ride towards Itabaca Canal where you will board the yatch for this excursion.

The little island Bartolome is very small and 114m high situated close to Santiago Island. When the volcano that formed Bartolomé erupted, there was not any water present resulting in large amounts of basalt on this island (when water is present in an eruption tuff is created). The basalt hardened together with air creating very light rocks.

Bartolome’s surface is covered with volcanic ash, which is suposed to be blown over from Santa Cruz Island. The island consists of an extinct volcano and volcanic formations in a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black.

This program includes sightseeing, hike, snorkel, snorkel equiptment, lunch on board and much more.

Finally, you will be taken back to Puerto Ayora for your last night at the Galapagos.

Free  morning, 10:00 am check out and transportation to Baltra’s Airport to take a flight to Guayaquil or Quito.

Unfortunately, we have to say good bye after we arrive in Guayaquil or Quito, and we invite you to see one of our other  tours in Ecuador Mainland.
