Galapagos Explorers Educational Trip 10 Days Tour

Today is the arrival day to Quito City , our Tour Director will be waiting for you and your group outside customs and take the all group to the hotel in Quito , you will finally have a resting time at the hotel before the starting of the adventure next day!!!

TRAVELING TIME :  45 Minutes  ( From Quito's Airport to the Hotel )

Early in the morning we will start our city tour at Panecillo viewpoint to admire the Quito´s wonders from above, then we will walk around two hours visiting the highlights of the old city such as; San Francisco Church, Compañia de Jesús Church and Sagrario Church located on “Calle de la Siete Cruces” or Garcia Moreno Street. Then we will visit the Presidential Palace lobby at Quito´s main Square. Finally we will visit the first Gothic Church of Ecuador, considered the highest one in the city. This is another beautiful viewpoint to observe “The Avenue of the Volcanoes”. Then we will drive towards to the Equator Line Museum, finally we will return back to the hotel for overnight.

Early depart to Quito’s International Airport for your local flight to the Galapagos Islands , this flight takes 3 hours ( with an stop in Guayaquil ). Upon your arrival at Baltra Airport , clear customs and ready to meet your Naturalist Guide from Galapagos , who will conduct to trough the other part of the trip towards Puerto Ayora town at Santa Cruz Island. On the way down we will visit the Twins or Gemelos Craters , then we will stop at the Giant Tortoises Ranch to admire them on wild. Finally arrival to the hotel in town for overnight.

DURATION :  10 Hours   ( Flight to Galapagos,  Sightseeing Giant Tortoises)

TINTORERAS ISLET  At this tour, you will visit a next door islet full of baby marine iguanas , seagulls , sea lions, blue footted bobbies , frigatte birds and some Galapagos Penguins. Also you will be able to see the TINTORERAS or The White Tip Reef Shark .Then you will go for a magic snorkel at La Calera area , where you will swim together with marine iguanas , sea turtles , sea lions and a great number of colorful fish. Also you will visit the wetlands that includes the Gigant Tortoise Breeding Center , Pink Flamingo Lagunes and marine Iguanas site.Finally you will return back tAlso you will visit the wetlands that includes the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center , Pink Flamingo Lagunes and marine Iguanas site.o hotel.

DURATION :  8 Hours   ( Speed boat to Isabela,  Sightseeing Wetlands)

 Today you will take a speed boat towards Puerto Ayora , Santa Cruz Island ( it will take 2 hours approx.) Then you will get to the hotel for check in , after the guide will take you to Charles Darwin Research Station ( this is the most important research center of the entire Galapagos ) Then you will have some time to enjoy the town and have a quick lunch before the next activity. Later in the afternoon you will go to visit Las Grietas where you can swim or snorkel at this natural fisure . Finally you will return back to town for overnight… Tonight Advise : Don’t miss eating at the QUIOSKOS street a very fresh lobster and many different tipe of sea food caught in the morning. Also go at night to the Pier , where you can see babbie sharks , rays and many other animals very close.

DURATION :  8 Hours   ( Speed Boat to Santa Cruz,  Snorkel at Las Grietas ,Darwin Station)

This tour will start early from twon , then a bus ride towards Itabaca Canal where you will board the yatch for this excursion. This program includes sightseeing , hike , snorkel , snorkel equiptment , lunch on board and much more. Finally you will be taken back to Puerto Ayora for your last night at the Galapagos  Bartolome: The little island Bartolome is very small and 114m high situated close to Santiago Island. When the volcano that formed Bartolomé erupted, there was not any water present resulting in large amounts of basalt on this island (when water is present in an eruption tuff is created). The basalt hardened together with air creating very light rocks. Bartolome’s surface is covered with volcanic ash, which is suposed to be blown over from Santa Cruz Island. The island consists of an extinct volcano and volcanic formations in a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black.
Pinnacle Rock is the eroded remains of a tuff cone. This large partially eroded lava formation was created when magma expelled from the volcano reached the sea. When the seawaters cooled, the hot lava caused an explosion. The exploded particles eventually fasten together forming a rock composed of thin layers. Bartolome’s Pinnacle Rock has become one of the most photographed sights in the islands. On the northern one (wet landing) you are allowed to swim and snorkel. Don’t miss that!

DURATION :  9 Hours   ( Sailing Tour,  Sightseeing & Snorkel)

This morning you will take a speed boat to San Cristobal Island ( 2 hours  approx.) Then you will arrive to the hotel for check in , after you will visit the Interpretation Center and hike up to Tijeretas hill ( Darwin’s first Landing) at Tijeretas hill you can admire the all Bay also Frigatte birds and Blue Footted Bobbies fliying aroubd the clifs. Then some time to relax near by the sea lions at Playa Mann. In the afternoon , you will visit la Loberia for some more snorkel and just enjoy the landscapes from the beach with a nice sun. Finally back to the hotel.

DURATION :  8 Hours   ( Speed boat to San Cristobal,  Sightseeing & Snorkeling)

Today includes some of the best snorkeling in Galapagos, a day trip to Kicker Rock! After breakfast, a comfortable speed boat navigates along the coast of San Cristobal, boasting views of the birds and landscape from a different angle. At the rock formation, we’ll snorkel thru the channel in search of a variety of sharks, fish, turtles, rays, sea lions, and more! Enjoy a box lunch on the boat afterward, and some quiet beach time to relax before returning to town.

Free  morning , 11:00 am check out and transportation to the Airport to take a flight to Quito late in the afternoon , then transportation to Otavalo City , well known as the Awakaning Valley for the overnight and Cultural Night.

DURATION :  7 Hours   ( Flight back to Quito, bus to Otavalo)

In the morning ,we will visit Otavalo Indian Market, which is very famous for its quality handicrafts, and its exportation to all over the world.
