This is the Arrival Day to Bogota; all participants arrive on their own to the hotel mentioned in program. Check In time 2:00 pm (Local Time). If you prefer, you can see the city on your own, but please you have to be back at the hotel at 6:00 pm (local time) for Briefing with our Trip Leader Guide.

Early in the morning you will go by car to Guatavita Area and its sacred lagoon, this will take around 1 hour from Bogota and at the lake you will do a hike for 1 hour enjoying the Andean landscapes and the lagoon.

After this you will go to Zipaquirá town not far away from the first stop, at this point you will have some time to explore this magical and colorful town (here you can get something to eat and enjoy with a local beer o juice).

This town was the second home town of the famous Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Then you will visit on the most seeing places in the entire Colombia known as La Catedral de Sal Zipaquirá. This is cool place to visit that is located 300 ft. underground together with one of the oldest salt mines of south America.

By 1950 start the construction of the magical wonder that represents the Catholicism in south America. This tour is Self-Guided (multi- languages), it has 22 stations where through a device (provided at the entrance) you will go on your pace getting to know about this magical place. Then you will meet our transportation to take you back to Bogota and enjoy on your own the rest of the afternoon in the City.

Early in the morning you will take a local flight to Santa Marta (the Colombian Caribbean Site), upon arrival you will be transfer to the hotel in down town located in the heart of the city.

Then you will have a free afternoon to explore the city and its wide beautiful beach on your own pace or just relax and enjoy the sunset from the hotel roof top.

This will be a medium scale hiking day (good training for the Lost City if need it you add it on tour with extra cost). Tayrona Park is located at 45 minutes from Santa Marta by car. So, once we arrive you will be informed our guide about the all plan and the park itself.

The program includes a 2 hours hike to Cabo San Juan (6 kms), we also visit Arrecife, Arenillas, la piscina and San Juan. this could be a hard walk but very nice!!!! After arrival you will have time to take pictures and enjoy the beach on your own, the if you want you can take lunch (extra) in a local restaurant for like 10 USD.

For the return if you are too tired, you can always get the easy way back horse for like 15 USD each way, or just get the last effort to hike back to the starting point.

Tayrona National Park (including its beaches in Santa Marta) closes every year 3 times in the following dates:

1 to 15 February / 1 to 15 June / 18 October to 2 November

If your tour program is affected by these dates , instead we visit Minca Area as follows: After an hour's drive, we'll start a two-hour hike through the jungle of Minca, enjoying the lush vegetation of the area. Find out about the biodiversity of Santa Marta.

We will stop at a 'hacienda' or estate, where we'll talk about the preparation of coffee and its derivatives, and we'll even have the chance to drink some freshly-brewed coffee. Afterwards, we'll reach the beautiful El Oído del Mundo waterfall for a refreshing swim. Then lunch and finally our transport will drop off you at the hotel in town as shown in itinerary.

This is a fantastic drive from Santa Marta along the coastal Colombian highway admiring the Caribbean Sea all the time. A long the way we will pass by Barranquilla , then we will continue towards Cartagena City.

Upon arrival we will start Cartagena's Tour, where you will explore with our expert guide the highlights of the city such as; Castillo de San Felipe, Getsemani neighborhood, the commercial area and the down town, which still exist in the past XVI century.

Finally, we will arrive our hotel to enjoy the rest of the afternoon admiring the sunset.

Day at leisure on your own pace, however we recommend one of the excursions from Cartagena such as: Isla del Rosario and some other ones nearby.

Early flight to Medellin (50 minutes approx.), upon arrival we will provide you a Guided Tour around the city which includes Comuna 13 (all history about Pablo Escobar and the locals live), the Cable Car ride to admire the City from above, Botero sculptures, Parque Lleras and few other places more along the way.
Finally to the hotel for overnight.

Morning depart to visit one of the most famous areas of all Colombia, the excursion start from Medellin downtown towards to a picturesque town known as Marinilla where you will try a typical Paisa breakfast, after it we will continue towards Guatape Lake and you will board a motor boat tour around the area, where you can see fantastic views for pictures and one of Escobar's Houses as well as other rich family houses.

Then you will visit a place known as La Replica (it is a typical little village, where you can take beautiful photos and buy some souvenirs).

After we will continue towards the famous Gigantic rock called El Peñon de Guatape, (it is a natural formation created 80 million years ago) this rock is over 220 meters high (700 ft.) so to access to the top you have to go over 720 steps, but it is not difficult at all. Stunning views of the all valley from above!

Then we will enjoy a typical lunch and finally we will visit Guatape town, where you will have enough time to visit on your own and take as many pictures you desire or get a nice souvenir. At the end of the day we will return back to Medellin for overnight.

Early in the morning, we will transfer you back to the Airport in Medellin a for a local flight to Pereira City. Then we will drive you to Salento village (very colorful town with its unique houses). In the afternoon, we will take you visit a local coffee farm not far from Salento town, it is known as Buenos Aires and produce coffee from over 100 years. Upon arrival you will get to know about one of the most important industries in Colombia.

­For sure you will visit the entire farm with our guide and at the end of the visit you will try as many different cups of quality coffee you desire (it is all included in our program!). Finally, we will return to Salento for overnight.

On this day you will enjoy visiting the Cocora Valley and the surroundings on a Jeep Old Style Willy (if available, depending of the season , this activity can be done on a private car).

­On this park we can walk for 1 hour or more depending of you and the weather conditions to look for the Giant Oil Palm Trees (One of the most famous trees in the country). Here you can hike up to 5 hours if the entire group decide or just 1 hour. Finally, back to Salento for overnight.

This is the flying day starting from Pereira via Medellin or Bogota (We confirm it once the tour booking is done). Once in Quito, we will take you to the hotel located in Quito center for overnight.

On this day we will explore Quito's Old town and its beauty. We will use public transportation to get to there. While in the old town we will visit the Presidential Palace, Main Square, the Cultural Center, Sacrarium Church, San Francisco Church and the famous Street known as " La Ronda ", at this point we can all enjoy a special ice cream with local rum, tequila or one of the local fruit’s flavors.

Then we will take a bus to go visit Panecillo Hill located at 10,000 ft. This is the best viewpoint in town!!! After we will ride a local bus towards to the Equator site (It will take us 1 hour approx. to get there) There is two Equator Sites, so we will see both!

The first one is a Museum known as an Inti Nan, where you will see experiments related with the 0.0.0 latitude. The second one is a monument refers to the French Expedition leaded by Charles Maria Condamine who came to stablish the Equator on 1736. By the way here we can stop for some lunch. Finally, we will take the local bus back to the Hotel for overnight.

Early in the morning, we will drive 2 ½ hours to the northern side of the Ecuadorian Andes, where we will tour one of the most visited areas by foreigners and local tourists; the area is known as Imbabura, also called ´The Lakes Province.

We will then begin our journey going across the Guayllabamba Valley (Green Valley) where we can enjoy delicious fruits, typical of the area, such as Cherimoya and Lima.

We will then continue our trip through an area with several viewpoints – these are the perfect places for people who like photography. When we come to the end of the viewpoints, we will stop to visit Otavalo Indian Market, which is very famous for its quality handicrafts, and its exportation to all over the world.

Then we will take you to visit a wonderful waterfall known as Peguche, it’s a sacred place where the locals renew their energies and you will also do!

After that, it’s time to stop at Cotacachi Area, which is known for its famous-quality cow and sheep leather articles and also, we can have a stop for lunch, there are several typical dishes and you can have a chance to try guinea pig if you desire.

Finally, we will visit Cuicocha well known as Guinea Pig Lake for awesome pictures, then we will return to Quito.

After breakfast we will drive towards Cotopaxi National Park, which consists of 34,000 hectares, and has a large variety of trails, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and, of course, it’s Volcano, which will captivate you with its majesty and beauty.

In the area of the lagoon, Limpiopungo, at 3830 meters above sea level, you will find an enormous diversity of flora and fauna – it is also possible to hike around the lagoon´s shore, where native birds of the Andes are plentiful.

Then we will drive higher up to Cotopaxi Staging Area, at 4500 m.a.s.l. In the Staging Area, it is often possible to admire a Condor in flight. From this point it is possible to climb to the basecamp. Finally, we will drive to Baños City for overnight.

Early in the morning, we will start our tour visiting some Banos City sights like the local market, the main Church, the Melcochas tasting.

 

Then we will continue towards the Famous Waterfalls Avenue (it is the route to the Jungle with more than 30 waterfalls) on this tour we will visit the most beautiful ones as follows: Agoyan (here you can do zipline with an extra cost), Manto de la Novia (here you can go across Pastaza Canyon by cable car , known as Tarabita), Pailon del Diablo (at this point we will walk down to see the largest waterfall and discover its 6 balconies few feet away the water).

Finally, we will transport towards Riobamba City for overnight.

Morning 2 hours transportation to Ingapirca Archeological Complex, the most important pre-Columbian archaeological site in Ecuador. (1-hour walk) through the site to get to know more about the Pre-Incas & Incas history. Then Drive to Cuenca City, upon arrival we will visit the famous HAT MUSEUM (Panama hat Factory). Finally, we will get to the hotel for overnight.

In the morning, we will visit Cuenca City (declared a Cultural Heritage Site in 1999 by UNESCO). The most representative sites in Cuenca are: Calderon Park (Central Square), the Modern and Old Cathedrals, the Flower Market, and Larga Street with its colonial houses, all of which are unforgettable.

We will also visit the Tomebamba River and the Broken Bridge, since they are famous landmarks. Of course, an attraction impossible to skip is the Ethnographic Museum (Museo de las Culturas Aborigines). The Ethnographic Museum is a must-see because of its unique art collection from across the country.

Early in the morning we will start our journey towards to Guayaquil city. On the way we will stop in some beautiful views to admire the Andes and the Coastal regions. Then we will pass by Cajas National Park (Highest bus Crossing in Ecuador 4167 meters above sea level).

Finally, we will get to Guayaquil for an International flight to Lima (Peru) at night.

Morning flight to Cusco. Upon your arrival, one of our Peru Guides will meet you at the Airport to take you to the hotel in downtown Cusco.

In the afternoon, you will go on a tour around the City well known as the Capital of INCAS and for all its treasures. You will visit the centric part of Cusco and also several Inca Temples such as: Koricancha, Saqsayhuaman, Q’enqo and Tambomachay. Finally, back to the Hotel for overnight.

In the morning you will go on tour to the famous Sacred Valley at Urubamba valley, we will visit Ruins Pisac, Urubamba & Ollantaytambo Temple.

Buffet lunch at Tupuna’s Restaurant in Urubamba. Then you will take the Train Expedition from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Early in the morning we will transfer you to take the bus, that will take you with our Guide to the most beautiful Archeological complex known as Machu Picchu or Sacred Montana, at this point you will have a guided tour through the site. You will have plenty of time to get best picture for memories.

After this you will be taken back to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy the town on your own visiting the markets around. Then you will take the Train back to Cusco for overnight, Enjoy the memorial views of the Andes!

"The Main Square”, San Martin Square", Archbishop's Palace and the Municipal Palace, other great places you will visit are: the Train Station Palace, unique old fashioned "Cordano Bar", colorful mansion palaces, Jiron del Union Pathway, First Photoshop Palace in south America, Post Office Palace, Dominican’s tower, Historical Rimac Bridge and lovely surrounded wooden Balconies and the next big project in the City the Under river subway.

IF YOU ARE FLYING HOME THIS DAY Our guide will drive you back to Lima`s international Airport, for your flight home.
