Guidecuador Travel Booking Polices
Every booking needs to be pay 50% upfront once the client confirms with GUIDECUADOR TRAVEL at any starting date.
The 50 % additional payment (to complete full payment) should be done maximum 90 Days prior tour departure date.
However, in some cases we can set a payment plan, when the tours start later than 90 days.
(Only apply this payment with credit card).
How can you pay us?
- We accept all Credit and Debit cards (card charges are not included in the final price, so 5% will be added at the final price).
- All Bank wire transfers to GUIDECUADOR’s Checking account in Ecuador (are free charge).
How do we proceed?
- Once you confirm the payment, we will need a simple passport photo from all participants to proceed with the Hotel Bookings, Air Tickets (this process normally takes 1 week).
- Then we will issue the travel voucher and air tickets to email you for your record.
- Finally, the E-Invoice to email you (final process).

CANCELLATION TERMS
Payment for the tour is a fundamental part of the tour’s income and contributes to the overall cost of equipment, running costs, staffing, administration, etc. As the Company will have incurred the majority of its costs before the tour starts, we need to impose cancellation charges to cover these costs.
Applied cancellation fees differ between packages (including accommodations) day tours and long trips in Ecuador – Galapagos, Colombia, Guatemala ,Peru, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica.
Cancellation of packages
- For cancellations received from the Booking time until 90 days before the schedule departure, a 50 % cancellation fee will be charged.
- For cancellations received 30-89 calendar days before the scheduled departure date a 70% cancellation fee will be charged.
- For cancellations received 1-29 calendar days before the scheduled departure date an 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
If you need to make a change to your holiday arrangement you must send us a notification via email at least 15 weeks before departure. For changes (after reviewing it , if possible ) we charge up to 350 USD per person + extras that may occur during this process.
Some suppliers frequently charge fees for changes; if this occurs, the extra fee will be added to your total.
Please notice that changes may not be possible within 4 weeks before departure.
INSURANCE
Please note that individual travel insurance is not included in the tour price and all medical costs and other costs involved must be paid by the client.
It is therefore strongly recommended that participants take out personal insurance, especially for the active tours.
We strongly recommend to all of our clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure to meet any contingencies.
LIABILITY
Once you book through www.guidecuador.com, you agree to be legally bound by the following terms.
GUIDECUADOR TRAVEL SAS acts in good faith and cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or schedule changes caused by weather or road conditions, force major such as natural catastrophes, strikes or any other irregularities beyond the control of GUIDECUADOR TRAVEL SAS.
Luggage is at the owner’s risk throughout the tour. We therefore advise all clients to have insurance cover, as clients are at their own risk on optional tours, such as riding tours, white- water rafting, etc.
