Ecuador Luxury Train 5 Days Tour
This Tour begins south of Quito through the “Avenue of the Volcanoes”, a name given by Alexander Von Humboldt to these singular geological formations of the Andes on this parallel structure and this long valley in between, where you can find over 20 volcanoes and mountains including the majestic Cotopaxi and the imposing Chimborazo. We will learn more about the Andean cultures and their lifestyle at visiting Guamote, an authentic indigenous and local market, coming from pre-Hispanic times. All aboard the mythical train of the Devil’s Nose! Live an unparalleled adventure as we descend through this intricate, steep zigzag to the valley of Sibambe. Our trip concludes after riding through the valley of the coast through endless sugar rise, cane, banana and cocoa bean plantations, while discovering the captivating landscapes of the Ecuadorian coast and the first Ecuadorian train station.

Early in the morning of Day 1, we will live the Magic Train Experience, for 48 miles.
At the end of the train ride, we will visit Cotopaxi National Park. We will then enjoy a typical lunch in a very nice, old hacienda called San Agustin de Callo (an Inca Temple), then a traditional, indigenous dance show. Later, we will partake of dinner and our overnight accommodations.
Our journey continues (86 miles), where we will visit a rose farm, and then we will enjoy lunch in another important hacienda. Afterward, we will travel by train to Urbina Station, where we will visit Hieleros del Chimborazo (The Ice Men Museum). Finally, we will again partake of dinner and our overnight accommodations.
On this day, the train will bring you back 89 miles, and back to the early twentieth century, where you will visit Balbanera Church (the first Catholic Church of Ecuador). While you are here, you will also spend some time at the Guamote Indian Market, where you will also have a typical, Ecuadorian lunch.
After lunch, you will experience the famous Devil´s Nose train ride, a descending, zigzag path the train follows on it´s way to the Coastal region. You will then have dinner on the coast, and spend the night here.
After breakfast, we will walk through the Cloud Forest on the slopes of the western Andes. You will have the opportunity to admire the forest´s beauty.
Once we leave the forest, we will visit the Shuar Community, where we will have lunch at a coastal ranch.
To make your trip even more enjoyable, we will finish our train ride (the last 55 miles) on the way to Duran on an old-fashioned steam locomotive – very exciting!
At Duran, you will be transported by bus to Guayaquil city.
You will spend the first part of Day 5 seeing the sights of Guayaquil. Once you have explored Guayaquil, you will be transported to the airport where you will board your flight back to Quito. END OF THE SERVICES...
