Day 1
GETTING TO GUATEMALA

Arrival day to Guatemala and its capital Guatemala . After customes our tansportation will be awaiting for you at the International arrival. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy for a rest after a long day travel!
The hotel is located in Zona 10 ( The safest area in the City, so depending of you arrival time , you might have some time to walk around on your own or go to have something to drink, before the brefing meeting at the hotel by 6 pm)

Day 2
GUATEMALA CITY TOUR & ANTIGUA

We will start our tour at Las Américas avenue, its central garden that has several squares and monuments in honor of the countries of all Latinamerica. Then we will continue to Plaza Berlin to have a panoramic view of the city and the landscape of the Pacaya volcano.
Reforma Avenue was built inspired by the avenues of France for this reason several statues carved in stone, bronze and marble were brought from Italy. Yurrita Church It is a private chapel in a mixed Baroque style, with Romanesque and Byzantine elements. The church was built as a votive offering by Felipe Yurrita, a native of Arévalo, Castilla, Spain, to the Virgen de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, patron saint of that city, for favors received, particularly for having saved his life during the eruption. from the Santa Maria Volcano.
Passing by the Civic Center of the City, we will see a group of buildings built between the 50s and 60s: the Supreme Court of Justice, the Ministry of Public Finance, the City Hall, Social Security, the Bank of Guatemala, the National Mortgage Bank , and the Guatemala Tourism Commission.
The Paseo de la Sexta Avenida, was born due to the transfers of the city after the earthquakes in Santa Marta in 1773. Sixth Avenue was one of the most important streets in the city, where the best fashion stores in the city were found , the most prestigious commercials and the first cinemas. Pasaje Rubio, also called "El Portalito", is one of the best-known places in Zone 1. Part of its structure is inspired by the commercial passages of Italy, from the 17th century.
Then we will get Plaza Mayor de la Constitución.This square is the heart of the historic center of the city. It is surrounded by important monuments such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the President Palace and the Centennial Park.
Finally we will drive to Antigua City (2 hours far from the Capital ) Our first stop will be Central Park. There we will find the Palace of the General Captains, the old Town Hall or the church of San José, which was previously the city's Cathedral. You will have the opportunity to take pictures with the famous Mermaid Fountain, built around a popular legend that our guide will reveal to you during the tour. We will continue with the visit to another of the cathedrals that Antigua Guatemala has. Considered as the Second Cathedral, you will contemplate its baroque façade that contrasts with the smooth columns. Then we will visit Santo Domingo Monastery , finally we will drop off you at the Hotel in Antigua.

Day 3
PACAYA VOLCANO HIKE

After breakfast we will take you to the Pacaya National Park, located about an hour and a half away from Antigua. Once we get to San Vicente de Pacaya, we will meet our local guide to start a hiking trail to reach the foot of the Pacaya Volcano, one of Guatemala's active volcanoes. Under the shadow of the smoking mountain, we'll begin an unforgettable experience: climbing up the volcano!
We'll hike up the slope of the volcano to the point where we're just 1 mile far from the crater (This hike could take 1 hour to 2 hours to complete) - an incredible experience! It will then be time to climb back down the volcano and head to the Kawilal Hot Springs to relax after our adventure.
(If you might not be able to hike, there is an option to rent a horse to take you very easy, you have to tell us in advance to organize it with an additional cost)
After admiring the volcano views, we will return to the starting point. Then our transportation will take us to Kawilal hot springs to relax and recover from the hike in one of the 12 thermal pools. Finally drive back to Antigua for overnight.

Day 4
LAKE ATITLAN

In the morning we will check out and pack our bags to go to one of the most beautiful lakes in world. This drive takes 2 hours from Antigua , passing by goergoes landscapes in the Sierra Madre mountains. Upon arrival in Pachanajel town , we will get to the hotel for chek in. Then we will take you in a boat excursion to explore Santa Cruz La Laguna Village located in the heart of Atitlan Lake. ( this is 1 of 12 villages around the lake , where Mayas live as decades ago). Finally we will take the boat back to Panachajel hotel to enjoy the sunset and overnight.

Day 5
CHICHICASTENANGO MARKET

After breakfast we will take you back on the road to Visit the most colorful local market in Central America known as Chichicastenango, where you will be able to see unique dresses, fruits, vegetables, flowers, meats, handicrafts. After some time to do some shopping or simply get lost among the different stalls, we will visit the church of Santo Tomás. The temple will call your attention for the combination of Catholic worship with pre-Hispanic traditions. Finally we will visit their unique cemetery , Then we will drive back to Guatemala City for overnight.

Day 6
FLIGHT TO FLORES

After breakfast , our transport will take you to Guatemala´s Airport for your flight to Flores (Mundo Maya Airport) it is only 1 hour flight , so upon arrival our guide will meet you take drive you to Flores Island for overnight.
Free afternoon to epxlore the amazing island on your own and get some dinner.
(This flight normally departs from Guatemala by 11 am , so it gives you time to have breakfast in Antigua and enjoy Flores island with no rush )

Day 7
TIKAL RUINS TOUR

After breakfast we'll start our bus ride to Tikal National Park, the most important Maya ruins in Guatemala, located about an hour away. From the moment you set foot in Tikal National Park, the importance of this place will become clear as day. You'll be immediately immersed into Maya culture as we enter this tremendous complex, which houses some 3,000 structures that archaeologists have excavated... at least so far.
Accompanied by our expert guide in Maya culture, you'll learn the history of this ancient civilization that inhabited Mesoamerica.
Religion was at the center of Maya life, exemplified by the numerous temples that we can see, such as the Temple of the Masks, the Temple of the Great Jaguar, the Temple of the Jaguar Priest or the iconic Temple IV, the highest temple in all of Tikal. While inside the park, we'll also enjoy a meal consisting of a vegetable soup as a first course, and chicken, beef or pork as a second course, accompanied by rice or vegetables (vegetarian menus are also available). Then, you'll have free time to continue exploring this monumental Maya city.
After basking in the greatness of these hidden Maya ruins in Guatemala, we'll return by bus to the Airport for your flight back to Guatemala. Upon arrival our transportation will drive you to the hotel for overnight.
